Tee Drill

5–7 min station
Teaches

Consistent contact and a controlled, repeatable swing. This is where real hitting habits are built.

Bring ● Tee ● Bat ● Helmet ● Balls ● Net or fence
Setup
  • Tee starts around belt height.
  • Make sure she has plenty of room to swing safely.
  • A net or fence in front is a big help.
  • Helper stands behind the hitter, not beside the tee.
How it works
  1. Set the ball on the tee.
  2. 5 swings from middle height.
  3. Lower the tee a little — 5 more swings.
  4. Raise the tee a little — 5 more swings.
  5. After each set of 5, give one piece of feedback max, then reset.
Watch for
  • Eyes stay on the ball.
  • She swings through it instead of stopping short.
  • Balanced through the whole swing.
  • Head doesn’t yank up early to see where it went.
What to say
Watch the ball.
Hit through it.
Finish your swing.
Yes — stay balanced, that one felt great!
High-five moments
  • Solid, loud contact.
  • Eyes stay on the tee all the way through.
  • She adjusts to a new tee height without losing her balance.
Make it easier

Leave the tee at her best height and let her pile up wins there first. Confidence at one spot beats struggle at three.

Level it up

Call out a height right before her swing. Or try a smaller ball on the tee — tracking gets sharper.

Key cue
“Watch the ball all the way until the bat hits it, then finish your swing high.”
