Setup
- Helper stands 15 feet away with their own glove.
- Player starts in athletic ready position, glove out front.
- A target on the fence or a coach 10 feet past the helper gives her something to throw at.
How it works
- Helper tosses the ball to her chest.
- She catches with two hands, funnels the ball to her throwing hand.
- Small step with her back foot, then step-and-throw back to the helper or the target.
- Keep the tempo up — catch, ball-to-hand, step, throw. Smooth, not rushed.
- Ten reps, then switch sides (helper moves so she catches-and-throws from a different angle).
Watch for
- She uses TWO hands on the catch — no one-handed grabs.
- The ball-to-throwing-hand transfer happens NEAR her chest, not out front.
- Feet move together — small, balanced, quick.
What to say
Catch, transfer, step, throw.
Two hands.
Smooth, not fast.
That's game speed!
