Setup
- Each player has a bat and helmet.
- No ball needed for this drill.
- Helper stands where they can see both the hands and the feet.
How it works
- The player gets into hitting position.
- Helper checks the grip first.
- Then helper checks the stance.
- Reset and repeat 5–6 times.
- Once it looks good, one slow practice swing — then check again.
Watch for
- Hands are together on the bat.
- Knocking knuckles lined up in a row across both hands.
- Feet about shoulder-width apart.
- Knees bent — she looks athletic, not stiff.
- Balanced, not leaning forward or back.
What to say
Shake hands with the bat.
Bend your knees a little.
Get balanced and ready.
